Our mission is to continue to present arts, cultural and music programming in support of visual and performing artists and increase community engagement in the arts.
• Produce quality cultural, arts and music festivals annually that will be family friendly, stimulate the cultural scene, contribute to local socio-economic development, and promote cultural touristic development and tourist customer retention.
• Provide ongoing economic opportunity through vendor placement to support creators, entrepreneurs, and small business owners.
• Contribute to residents’ openness towards other cultures, put together a unifying event promoting synergy between the various players involved, facilitate integration and closer ties between the different local communities, as well as strengthen the identity and sense of belonging of the population.
• Encourage the discovery of new artists and promote the festivals nationally and internationally.
Dear Music is dedicated to bringing STEM learning and creative, visual & performing arts to the underserved, and low-income individuals. Our organization is committed to providing intercultural and interdisciplinary arts experience to which individuals do not have access.
Our organization believes in the power of art to inspire the social, cultural, and economic landscape. We believe that one of the ways to strengthen community cohesion and feelings of belonging is through arts, music, and culture. The arts, music and culture can bring people together through shared experiences for both creators an audience.
Since its inception, Dear Music, Inc. has been empowering the arts and STEM communities. We have served as a voice for diversity, inclusion, and equity for access to STEAM education and careers, entrepreneurship, small business, and funding for minority owned nonprofits.
Dear Music Inc. is a recipient of a Google $10,000 Grants award. The Google Grants program supports registered nonprofit organizations that share Google's philosophy of community service to help the world in areas such as science and technology, education, global public health, the environment, youth advocacy, and the arts. Google Grants is an in-kind advertising program that awards free online advertising to nonprofits via Google AdWords.
Dear Music Inc. is a grant recipient of Downtown Memphis Commission Arts Activation award. The grant supports production of the Beale Street Artcrawl Festival.
